AM-Win Software

AM-Win Software has been operating in it's current form since September 2003 however the Company has been operating in ?xml:namespace prefix = "st1" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Australia, developing and marketing software to the above markets since 1986. Over that time the company has been specifically involved in supplying specialised computer software and equipment to the automotive industry.

AM-Win was the first computer software company to produce, market and support computer software specifically for general mechanical workshops. While other systems existed for spare parts and panel shops we concentrated on the mechanical, auto electrical markets and specialists repairer markets which included transmission, tyres, brake and clutch and many other automotive service sections.

In September 1st 2003, the current entity (AM-Win Software Pty Ltd) was formed. Whilst we always had a very strong development and support team, we previously found that we had a weakness in the marketing of our product. As a result we formed a new alliance with John Jeffrey our Queensland distributor who possessed the marketing skills we required to expand the business.

John is now our CEO and National Sales and Marketing Manager. John has been involved in the supply, support and distribution of software to the Automotive, Marine and equipment industry for almost 18 years and has successfully operated as a distributor for such products during that time. John and other AM-Win staff run our Brisbane office

(Kevin Sturgiss - Managing Director) joined AM-Win Software from the very beginning in September 1986 and was the first employee of the company.

During the last 20 years he has gained enormous experience in both the computer and also the Automotive industry. From 1986 to 1991 Kevin was the support manager for the company and involved as the team leader [support] for all products. During this time he installed and trained about 2000 workshops in the utilisation of computers and software packages.

Kevin has held training seminars for Robert Bosch, NRMA, ABS, Ultra-tune and Telstra, The John Fairfax group, the RTA and many other companies and associations. Kevin has spoken as guest speaker at conferences held at DarlingHarbour at the request of the Automotive Trade Fair organisers on topics including "Computerising your mechanical workshop" and "Coping with the Y2K Bug".

AM-Win is very customer conscious and attempts to retain extremely good customer relations at all times. Our goal has always been to achieve a 100% satisfaction rating from our 3000 plus clients.

Recently in March 2001 after negotiations with Automate, AM-Win acquired the Automate database and our AM-WIN windows software is now the only recognised upgrade for Automate DOS users. As a part of this acquisition we also took advantage of the network of distributors and dealers that Automate had in place, all of whom join us to make up our national sales and marketing force. With strong representation in all states and territories of Australia as well as major Australian country towns, New Zealand and Malaysia our products can be well supported in all these areas. We have spent the last 3 years enhancing our AM-WIN Windows software to ensure that all the best features of AM-Win and Automate are included, as well as many new and exciting additions in response to requests from our valued users.

Harie Godden started with the Z80 CPU and CPM Operating System development Queensland.  Having been involved in computing since 1986, has over 20 years experience in the local industry.  He was appointed as a dealer for the fore-runner of Am-Win in 1990, and the State Distributor for SIM in 1996. He has extensive experience in the networking industry and from his current involvement with Popular Personal Computers and Aussie Onsite, he is well known to many key industry players. From his prior commitments as an onsite repair person Harie has recently completed two (2) long term computer maintenance contracts with Australia Post and Technisys. Previously he has been a major driving force in onsite warranties, maintenance, hardware and software service organisations in Queensland.  Almost single handedly he succeeded in getting Warranty Assistance Australia up and running, and had been a key developer of the Australia Wide Warranty dealer sales and repairer network in Queensland.  Harie’s earlier experience was in hardware and software consulting to business and then computer retail store ownership and management while conducting a computer manufacturing and wholesale business in Brisbane’s Silicon Valley (Milton).  Harie does not believe in paying “lip service” to customer service.  He firmly and strongly believes in the business philosophy of  “the customer is always right”, He plays a substantial role in SIM2000, Am-Win and AUSSIE ONSITE'S marketing and future direction.

Our Market Place.

Today, our principal market lies in the supply of software specifically designed for the automotive, marine, forklift and equipment businesses with a strong emphasis on sales, servicing, hire and maintenance on both internally owned equipment as well as providing strong functionality to control sales and servicing of customer owned equipment.  Currently, we have approximately 3000 users operating single user systems up to 30 plus user networks however logistically AM-Win will maintain as many as 255 users simultaneously on a single network.

AM-Win - A perfect fit.

Our software is an "off the shelf" product.  However, it can also be "tailored" to our customer's needs to allow specific requirements to be met without affecting the general upgrade path of the system
